In seeking a design for the TAKREEM Achievement Awards trophy, we thought about the Olive Branch, with all the significance contained therein.

Faced with the potent image of the olive, our designer Elie Hanna needed to assimilate the idea of peace, alongside those of endurance and continuity, while transforming this iconic symbol in a contemporary context to reflect TAKREEM’s vision.

A single distinctive leaf was eventually chosen and beautifully stylized to convey a host of meanings. Its sleek shape and burnished surface capture the pure aspirations underlying the TAKREEM Achievement Awards. The hole in the leaf’s surface resembles a flame burning brightly with hope and the light of knowledge. The graceful twist of the leaf signifies a turning point or sense of new direction that TAKREEM hopes to inspire.

When receiving and holding the trophy, the Laureates would have between their hands one of life’s most enduring symbols that of the ancient and steadfast olive tree, now transformed into a dynamic emblem for innovation, perseverance and accomplishment.

Leaving their fingerprints on its polished surface, they add a stamp of their own excellence recognized and rewarded by TAKREEM.
