Yes, all information will remain confidential. Only the committees involved in the selection process will have access to the application for selection purposes (by committees, we mean: Peer Review Commission, Selection Board and International Jury Board).
The process by which TAKREEM selects candidates for each of the categories is both focused and strict. It ensures that all those nominations TAKREEM receives are dealt with in an unbiased and non-discriminatory manner.
Each nominee has the right to compete without regard to religion, gender, national origin, political affiliation or age. In all but one of the award categories, candidates should be of Arab ancestry.
The actual identification of nominees to be honored publicly involves a two-stage process that aims at ensuring that the accomplishments of each candidate are fully examined and evaluated.
The first step calls for an in-depth review by selection boards made up of individuals from across the Arab world that are recognized experts in their fields. Each category is dealt with independently of the others. Short-lists of candidates chosen to move forward in the selection process are prepared in each category.
The second step in the process of selection calls upon an International Jury Board to review the short-listed candidates and identify one person or institution in each category. The members of this International Jury Board are distinguished personalities who are prominent not only in the Arab world but beyond. They have demonstrated their interest in highlighting examples of exceptional achievement in the Arab world. They themselves have also led by example. Their participation in the selection of laureates ensures that those winners will garner respect for themselves and their actions, and will bring pride to the whole of the Arab world.
Members of the TAKREEM team are available to these committee members during their review of nominating files, but only in an advisory capacity. They, in no way, participate in actual candidate assessments.
You will receive an e-mail confirming that your nomination has been received
We accept applications in three languages: Arabic, English, and French
If you are not accepted this year, you can apply again for the next year, but you will have to repeat the entire application process
If you are a finalist, you will be contacted one month prior to the ceremony
